Caedom Lain was the only player to score in double figures for the Napa Valley College men's basketball team as the Storm lost its Bay Valley Conference game to Contra Costa College, 75-49, on Friday, Feb. 7 in San Pablo.
Lain scored 11 points to lead Napa Valley (3-22 overall, 2-11 Bay Valley), which has lost three straight.
Naajy Bynum-Bey scored nine points, Hassan Flemming and CJ Mitchell each had eight points, and Jayden Robinson had six points for Napa Valley.
Chris Farrington had four points and Jerard Jackson had three points.
Napa Valley had two 3-pointers and was 7-of-13 from the free-throw line.
The Storm trailed at halftime, 31-18.
Contra Costa hit five 3-pointers and was 12-of-18 from the free-throw line.
Five players scored in double figures for Contra Costa.
It was Jamil Harris with 15 points, Dylan Cox with 14 points, Evin Goodwin with 12 points, and Joseph Gould and Cameron Armstrong each with 11 points.
Eight players scored in the game for Contra Costa (15-9 overall, 10-2 Bay Valley), which is tied for first place in the conference with Yuba College-Marysville (16-8 overall, 10-2 Bay Valley).
Napa Valley's next game is at home on Friday, Feb. 14 against Solano Community College-Fairfield at 5:30 p.m.
