Four players from NVC men’s soccer team named All-Bay Valley Conference

The Napa Valley College men’s soccer team placed four players on the All-Bay Valley Conference team, Storm head coach Rogelio Ochoa announced.
Gabriel Cendejas, a sophomore defender, was named as the Conference Midfielder of the Year.
Cendejas, Yair Rafael-Gaspar and Gedeon Ilunga were named All-Conference first team.
NVC men’s soccer team ends regular season in explosive fashion

The Napa Valley College men’s soccer team won its regular-season finale in explosive fashion, scoring eight goals, including two by Yair Rafael-Gaspar, in an 8-0 Bay Valley Conference win over Yuba College on Friday, Nov. 15 in Marysville.
The win was the second in a row, and also the second straight by shutout, for the Storm (5-11-4 overall, 5-4-3 Bay Valley).
Napa Valley did not allow a goal in its last three matches.
The Storm outscored its last four opponents, 14-2.
Napa Valley College men’s soccer ties Contra Costa, beats Merritt

The Napa Valley College men’s soccer team continued its season, tying Contra Costa College-San Pablo, 0-0, and beating Merritt College-Oakland, 3-0, in Bay Valley Conference matches.
In a match on Friday, Nov. 8, in San Pablo, the Storm and Contra Costa battled to a 0-0 tie.
Angel Olvera-Vega had five saves in 90 minutes at goalkeeper for Napa Valley.
Napa Valley College men's soccer team picks up win, 3-2
Yair Rafael-Gaspar scored two goals in the second half as the Napa Valley College men's soccer team won its Bay Valley Conference match over host Merritt College-Oakland, 3-2, on Monday, Nov. 4.
It was a make-up game from Oct. 18.
Napa Valley (3-11-3 overall, 3-4-2 Bay Valley) also got a goal from Emmanuel Hurtado.
Merritt was ahead in the game, leading 1-0 and 2-1.
NVC men's soccer falls to Woodland Community College, 2-0
The Napa Valley College men's soccer team lost its Bay Valley Conference match at home on Friday, Nov. 1, falling to Woodland Community College, 2-0.
Woodland (8-9 overall, 7-1 Bay Valley), the conference’s first-place team, had a 1-0 lead at halftime and scored a goal in the second half in shutting out the Storm.
Napa Valley (2-11-3 overall, 2-4-2 Bay Valley) has lost two straight matches and is in sixth place in the league standings.
