NVC volleyball continues season, playing three nonconference matches
The Napa Valley College volleyball team continued its season, playing nonconference matches against Sacramento City College, De Anza College-Cupertino and Monterey Peninsula College earlier this month.
Napa Valley played two matches, facing Sacramento City and host De Anza, on Sept. 6.
The Storm also faced Monterey Peninsula, on Sept. 12.
A lot to be excited about as NVC men’s basketball continues its work in advance of 2025-26 season
There wasn’t a lot of time off during the summer for players in the Napa Valley College men’s basketball program.
They were at work, taking part in a summer session, for four days a week, that had a focus on offensive concepts and skill development.
They returned to work at the start of the fall semester, in August, and are continuing their preparation in advance of the 2025-26 season.
Farrington, Broome lead Napa Valley College men’s basketball at Sophomore Showcase
Chris Farrington, who averaged 14.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game during the men’s basketball season, was among four players from the Napa Valley College men’s basketball program who traveled to Southern California to play in the 2025 Sophomore Showcase.
NVC men's basketball ends regular season with two games during the week
The Napa Valley College men's basketball team ended the 2024-25 regular season with two games this week.
The Storm got 28 points from Chris Farrington, but lost at College of Marin on Tuesday, Feb. 18 in Kentfield, 88-86. Farrington was one of five players in double-figure scoring for the Storm.
In its final game of the season, Napa Valley lost at home on “Sophomore Night,” falling to Yuba College-Marysville, 83-65, on Thursday, Feb. 20.
Farrington’s 28-point game leads NVC men’s basketball to win over Solano Community College
Chris Farrington talked about being in a slump to start the month of February.
There was the five points that he scored on Feb. 5 in a game against Los Medanos College-Pittsburg.
There was the four points that he had in a game on Feb. 7 against Contra Costa College-San Pablo.
