Jerard Jackson scored 24 points, hitting seven 3-pointers, for the Napa Valley College men's basketball team in a 76-74 Bay Valley Conference loss to Mendocino College on Friday, Jan. 31 in Ukiah.

Jackson was 7-of-11 shooting from the field and 7-of-10 from 3-point distance. He was also 3-of-3 from the free-throw line.

Napa Valley (3-20 overall, 2-9 Bay Valley) was ahead at halftime, 41-29. But the Storm was outscored by Mendocino 47-33 in the second half of the game.

Chris Farrington and Hassan Flemming scored in double figures for the Storm.
Farrington scored 12 points on 6-of-15 shooting from the field. He also had three rebounds and six assists.
Flemming scored 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field. He also had two rebounds.

Naajy Bynum-Bey scored eight points, going 2-of-5 from 3-point range. He also had four rebounds.

Jayden Robinson scored six points on 3-of-6 shooting from the field. He also had nine rebounds and three assists.
Jamari Taylor scored five points. He also had three rebounds and two assists.

Caedom Lain had four points on 2-of-3 shooting from the field. He also had three rebounds and two assists.

Also, playing for the Storm:

E'Jay Rogers (two points), Nate Broome (three points, five rebounds), Kieran Mannion, CJ Mitchell.

Napa Valley shot 46.2 percent from the field (30-of-65), 45.5 percent from 3-point distance (10-of-22), and 85.7 percent from the free-throw line (6-of-7). The Storm had 34 rebounds, 14 assists and six steals.

Mendocino was led by Deshon Shorter with 18 points, including three 3-pointers, five rebounds, four assists, three steals and three blocked shots.

Also, scoring in double figures was Frank Muhammad with 14 points, including four 3-pointers, and Benji Crebs with 13 points.

Jayden Green had eight points, five rebounds and seven assists, Saben Attebery had eight points and 12 rebounds, and C.J. Lee had eight points and two rebounds.

Mendocino shot 49.1 percent from the field (26-of-53), 44.8 percent from 3-point range (13-of-29), and 73.3 percent from the free-throw line (11-of-15). Mendocino had 30 rebounds, 18 assists, three steals and eight blocks.

Meanwhile, in a Bay Valley Conference game on Jan. 29 against Merritt College-Oakland, the Storm got additional contributions from:

E'Jay Rogers (four rebounds, two assists), Chris Farrington (six rebounds, three assists, four steals), Jamari Taylor (two rebounds, two steals), Hassan Flemming (three rebounds), Kieran Mannion (two rebounds), CJ Mitchell (three rebounds, two blocks), Nate Broome (four rebounds) and Caedom Lain (three rebounds).

Farrington was also 8-of-12 shooting from the field.

Mannion was 2-of-4 shooting from the field.

Mitchell was 3-of-4 shooting from the field.

Broome was 4-of-4 at the free-throw line.

Napa Valley's next game is at home on Wednesday, Feb. 5 against Los Medanos College-Pittsburg at 5:30 p.m.
