The Napa Valley College volleyball team is 2-1 in its last three matches. The Storm is in third place in the Bay Valley Conference standings and is 5-5 over its last 10 matches.

The Storm had wins over Contra Costa College-San Pablo, 3-0, and Yuba College-Marysville, 3-0.

Napa Valley lost its match to Los Medanos College-Pittsburg, 3-0.

In a match on Oct. 23, Napa Valley beat host Contra Costa, 25-15, 25-16, 25-8.

The Storm was led by Aubri LaPointe with 11 kills on a .400 kill percentage, seven digs and 11 points.

Helena White had nine kills on a .278 kill percentage, two digs and nine points.

Kendal Widell had six kills, five digs and six points.

Willow Diamond had four kills on a .364 kill percentage and four points.

Ava Pendleton had two kills and two points.

Other contributors were Adelina Avila-Navarro, with eight digs, and Rylee Santos, with four digs.

In a match on Oct. 25 at home, Napa Valley beat Yuba, 25-15, 25-16, 25-8.

The Storm was led by Keana Daneshmand, with eight kills on a .889 kill percentage and eight points.

Jordynne Hensley had six kills on a .500 kill percentage, 10 digs and six points.

LaPointe had five kills on a .364 kill percentage, two service aces and seven points.

Caitlin Kenney had five kills on a .714 kill percentage and five points.

Pendleton had four kills on a .222 kill percentage, nine digs and four points.

Diamond had three kills and three points.

Other contributors were Avila-Navarro, with two digs; Santos, with four service aces, seven digs and four points; White, with three kills on a .300 kill percentage and three points; Sydnee Coulthrust, with three service aces, two digs and three points; and Sofia Camargo, with three kills on a .250 kill percentage, six digs and three points.

In a match on Oct. 30 in Pittsburg, Napa Valley lost in three sets to Los Medanos, 25-18, 25-15, 26-24.

LaPointe had nine kills, 14 digs and nine points to lead the Storm.

Widell had seven kills, six digs and eight points.

White had five kills, three digs and six points.

Other contributors were Avila-Navarro, with 10 digs; Santos, with five digs; Kenney, with three kills, four digs and three points; and Pendleton, with two digs.

There are three matches to go in the Bay Valley Conference season for Napa Valley (9-12 overall, 4-3 conference). The Storm resumes its season on Friday, Nov. 8 at Mendocino College-Ukiah at 6 p.m.

For the season, NVC is averaging 9.09 kills, 13.21 digs, 4.03 assists and 1.96 service aces per set.

The Storm also has a .128 hitting percentage.
