NVC’s Scroggs earns low individual medalist honors, Storm second in team scoring

Kylee Scroggs was the low individual medalist and the Napa Valley College women's golf team finished in second place at the Big 8 Conference's ninth match of the season on Monday, Oct. 27 at Wildhorse Golf Club, in Davis.

Scroggs led the Storm, posting a 76.

Napa Valley had a 343-team score.

Libby Webb was next for the Storm, shooting an 83.

Also, playing in the match for Napa Valley was Rylie Olmo (90), Hanna Ruggles (94), Hazel Zastrow (95) and Loret Osorio (111).

Modesto Junior College took first place, with a 332-team score.

The Big 8 Conference match was hosted by Sierra College-Rocklin.

Also, in the team field was Sacramento City College (347), Sierra (348) and San Joaquin Delta College-Stockton (366).

The 10th and final Big 8 Conference match is on Monday, Nov. 3 at Pheasant Run Golf Club, in Chowchilla. A Most Valuable Player and a 10-player All-Big 8 Conference team will be named following the conclusion of play.

The California Community College Athletic Association-Northern California Regional Championships are at Madera Golf and Country Club, Nov. 9 and 10. The top-4 teams and six individuals who are not from those teams advance to the 3C2A State Championships, Nov. 16 and 17, at the River Course at Alisal, in Solvang (Santa Barbara County).
