The Napa Valley College men's soccer team got a goal from Gabriel Cendejas in a 2-1 Bay Valley Conference loss to host College of Marin on Tuesday, Oct. 29 in Kentfield.
Cendejas, a sophomore defender, scored at the 70th minute mark of the second half to tie the match, 1-1. Mateo Villanueva-Martinez, a sophomore midfielder, had the assist.
Napa Valley (2-10-3 overall, 2-3-2 Bay Valley) was behind, 1-0, at halftime.
Richard Amador Garci scored an unassisted goal for Marin at the 23rd minute mark of the first half.
The winning goal for Marin came at the 74th minute mark from Angel Hidalgo Castan. The assist went to Garci. Napa Valley's goal keepers, Angel Olvera-Vega and Carl Osifo-Doe, each had two saves.
Napa Valley is at home on Friday, Nov. 1 for a Bay Valley match against Woodland Community College at 4 p.m.
