NVC women’s golf turns its attention to NorCal Regional Championships

AMERICAN CANYON – Having completed the dual match and Big 8 Conference tournament season, the Napa Valley College women’s golf team now turns its attention to the 2025 California Community College Athletic Association-Northern California Regional Championships.
The Storm, which finished in third place in the Big 8 Conference, will travel to Madera Golf and Country Club, joining a field of eight teams, for the two-day, 36-hole Northern California Regional Championships, scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 9 and Monday, Nov. 10.

The Napa Valley College women’s golf team played in the final Big 8 Conference match of the fall season on Monday, Nov. 3.
The Storm’s third-place finish was keyed by Libby Webb’s outstanding round.
Webb had two eagles and a birdie on her back nine as she posted a 4-over-par 77 at Pheasant Run Golf Club, in Chowchilla.

But there was a point in the lead-up to the 2025-26 men’s basketball season where all was not well for the Storm. Jayden Robinson, one of the team’s four returning players, remembers it well, with the Storm struggling in a scrimmage against Sierra College-Rocklin last month.
Napa Valley College men's soccer has winning streak snapped
The Napa Valley College men's soccer team had a three-game winning streak snapped with a 4-1 Bay Valley Conference loss to host Contra Costa College in San Pablo on Friday, Oct. 31.
The Storm (4-7-4 overall, 3-3-1 Bay Valley Conference) is in fourth place in the league standings.
All of the scoring in the match took place in the first half.
Napa Valley College women’s basketball begins season 1-1
The Napa Valley College women’s basketball team began the 2025-26 season by playing in the Pasadena City College Sisterhood of Champions Tournament, a crossover event.
After winning its opener, 76-45 over San Bernardino Valley College on Saturday, Nov. 1, the Storm lost its next game, falling 67-49 to Taft College on Sunday, Nov. 2.
It’s a 1-1 start to the season for Napa Valley, which has 13 nonconference games on its schedule.
Coach Ball ‘really elated’ with NVC men’s basketball team’s start to season
Walking out of a highly spirited and excited team room following the Napa Valley College men’s basketball team’s season-opening game on Saturday, coach Steve Ball said he was “really elated” with the result and happy with the fact that everyone saw action on the court for the Storm.

The Napa Valley College men's soccer team won its third straight game, shutting out host College of Marin, 1-0, in Kentfield on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
Napa Valley (4-6-4 overall, 3-2-1 Bay Valley Conference) is now in third place in the conference standings.
