NVC men’s basketball falls to Contra Costa College, 76-60

The Napa Valley College men's basketball team got 15 points from Chris Farrington and 11 points from Raekwon Bell, but the Storm lost its Bay Valley Conference game on Wednesday night to Contra Costa College, 76-60, in San Pablo.

Napa Valley (0-17 overall, 0-5 Bay Valley), which is still looking for its first win of the season, was behind at halftime, 32-25.

Farrington scored nine points in the second half for Napa Valley, which was 11-of-21 from the free-throw line for the game.

Jalen Moore and Nate Broome each scored eight points.

Moore scored all of his points in the second half. Broome was 6-of-6 from the free-throw line.

Oliver Aandahl scored seven points, Jerard Jackson scored six points on two 3-pointers, and Hassan Flemming scored five points.

Contra Costa (5-11 overall, 3-1 Bay Valley), which is tied for third place in the conference standings, was led by Jamil Harris with 19 points, Kaleb Allison with 18 points and Mikey Pierce with 13 points.

Joseph Gould scored eight points.

With six points each were JeLani Clark and Christopher Sanders.

Contra Costa had eight 3-pointers and was 14-of-17 from the free-throw line.
