NVC baseball shut out in loss to Laney College, 5-0

Napa Valley College’s baseball team was held to six hits and was shut out on Thursday, as the Storm fell on the road to Laney College, 5-0, in the second game of a Bay Valley Conference series in Oakland.
In dropping its second game in a row, the Storm (9-24 overall, 8-9 Bay Valley Conference) also committed three errors.

Jorge Lopez-Rios had three hits and Owen Nelson and Forrest Kistner each had two hits for the Napa Valley College baseball team, but the Storm lost to Laney College-Oakland, 10-7, in the first game of a Bay Valley Conference series on Tuesday.
Lopez-Rios was 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBIs and scored a run.

Napa Valley College unleashed an explosive hitting attack in its Bay Valley Conference baseball game in Ukiah on Friday, April 12.
The Storm had 19 hits – five of which went for extra bases – and scored its runs in bunches in a 17-7 win over Mendocino College.
Seven players had multiple-hit games, powering an offense that was led by Vincent Lencioni, who hit a home run, and Forrest Kistner, who doubled and tripled.

Napa Valley College’s baseball team ended a five-game losing streak on Thursday, beating Mendocino College-Ukiah, 6-3, in a Bay Valley Conference game at Storm Field.
Napa Valley (8-22 overall, 7-7 Bay Valley) won on the strength of starting pitcher Seth Vazquez’s seven-inning outing, the relief pitching of Samuel Anderson and Jameson Hogarth, and Owen Nelson’s 3-for-5, four-RBI day at the plate.
Napa Valley College baseball loses fifth game in a row
Napa Valley College’s baseball team lost its fifth game in a row on Tuesday, as Mendocino College scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning for a 7-6 victory over the Storm in Ukiah.
It was the first game of a three-game Bay Valley Conference series between the two teams.
Napa Valley (7-22 overall, 6-7 Bay Valley) was ahead 3-0 in the second inning and 6-5 in the fifth inning.
Mendocino scored single runs in the eighth and ninth innings
The Storm had 10 hits, including doubles from Vincent Lencioni, Cole Van Stone and Forrest Kistner, and left nine runners on base.
