NVC men’s basketball falls in nonconference game to Ohlone College

Three players scored in double figures for the Napa Valley College men's basketball team, but the Storm lost to host Ohlone College-Fremont, 104-78, in a nonconference game on Tuesday night.

It was the fifth loss in a row to start the 2023-24 season for Napa Valley (0-5 overall).

Chris Farrington scored 16 points, going 5-of-6 from the free-throw line, for the Storm. Jaleel Turner scored 16 points.

Raekwon Bell scored 11 points.

Nate Broome scored nine points, Oliver Aandahl had eight points, Jalen Moore had six points, Jerard Jackson had five points, Hassan Flemming had four points, and Jamari Taylor had three points.

Napa Valley was behind at halftime, 59-25.

Four players scored in double figures for Ohlone College, which was led by Jason Cibull with 32 points and seven 3-pointers.

Napa Valley was 19-of-25 from the free-throw line.

Ohlone was 12-of-19 from the free-throw line.

Napa Valley is at home on Nov. 17 for a nonconference game against Las Positas-Livermore at 6 p.m.
