The Napa Valley College men's soccer team won its third match in a row, beating host Yuba College, 4-2, in Marysville on Tuesday.
The Storm (6-7 overall, 4-2 Bay Valley Conference) scored two goals in the first half and then scored two goals in the second half.
Napa Valley is alone in third place in the conference standings.
The Storm is 5-5 in its last 10 games.
Napa Valley's scoring came from:
* Ulisses Cruz, eight-minute mark of the first half, unassisted.
* Angelo Vivan, 32-minute mark of the first half, assisted by Justin Sotelo.
* Emmanuel Hurtado, 60-minute mark of the second half, assisted by Cruz.
* Mateo Villanueva, 78-minute mark of the second half, assisted by Angelo Dominguez.
Carl Osifo-Doe made four saves as Napa Valley's goal keeper.
The Storm's next game is also on the road, as they travel to Mendocino College-Ukiah on Friday, Oct. 20 for a Bay Valley match starting at 4 p.m.
CCCSIA Men's Soccer Poll
Eight Northern California teams are in the weekly California Community College Sports Information Association men's soccer poll, announced on Oct. 17 in a report from the California Community College Athletic Association, at www.cccaasports.org.
Evergreen Valley-San Jose, at No. 5, is the top NorCal team.
Also in the poll:
No. 6 Santa Rosa, No. 9 Skyline-San Bruno, No. 10 De Anza-Cupertino, No. 14 Merced, No. 16 Folsom Lake, No. 18 Hartnell-Salinas, No. 19 Foothill-Los Altos Hills.
Those listed as "others" include Canada-Redwood City, West Valley-Saratoga, Cosumnes River-Sacramento, Cabrillo-Aptos, Las Positas-Livermore, College of Marin-Kentfield.
