NVC volleyball team drops matches to Solano, Marin

The Napa Valley College volleyball team went 0-2 in last week's Bay Valley Conference matches.

The Storm dropped a 3-0 decision to visiting Solano Community College-Fairfield on Wednesday, Nov. 2.

The Storm fell 3-2 to host College of Marin-Kentfield on Friday, Nov. 4.

In Napa Valley's 25-12, 25-16, 25-14 loss to Solano, the Storm was led by Maui Cabrera with six kills, four digs and six points.

Bella Dubois had four kills, 12 digs, a solo block and five points.

Also contributing:

Madison Gramlich, with 10 digs; Aliya Merino, with one kill, one dig, one point; Sienna Marin, with one dig, two solo blocks, one block assist, 2.5 points; Maria Magaoay, with one kill, 10 set assists, two service aces, 14 digs, one block assist, 3.5 points; and Madison Iwatsu, with one set assist, seven digs.

In Napa Valley's 25-20, 23-25, 16-25, 25-17, 15-12 loss to College of Marin, the Storm was led by Bella Dubois with 24 kills on a .151 kill percentage, one service ace, 11 digs, two solo blocks and 27.5 points.

Sienna Marin had six kills on a .286 kill percentage, four service aces, three digs, a solo block, two block assists and 12 points.

Maria Magaoay, with four kills on a .130 kill percentage, 38 set assists, four service aces, 16 digs, one block assist, 8.5 points; Maui Cabrera, with five kills, two service aces, 11 digs, seven points; Madison Gramlich, with two kills, three service aces, 13 digs, five points; Aliya Merino, with two kills, two points; Madison Iwatsu, with one kill, one set assist, three service aces, seven digs, four points.

Napa Valley has a 4-12 overall record and is 2-8 in the Bay Valley Conference.
